A: All appointments, whether they are for you as an individual, or a practitioner, or an organisation, are confidential.
A: In order to keep you or other people safe from harm, there may be times when it is necessary to breach the client-practice confidentiality agreement. This would happen only if you told us that you were at risk from harm from yourself or another person, or that you someone was going to harm you.
A: At every consultation, consent to treatment, will be checked and recorded in your records. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
A: During each consultation, written notes of the conversation will be taken. This is a condition of high-quality clinical record-keeping and our regulatory bodies.
A: All information is stored electronically in line with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) professional body requirements, and with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements: Lawfully, fairly and transparently, with purpose limitation, with data minimisation, accurately, with storage limitation, with integrity and confidentiality (securely), and with accountability. In line with the Information Commission’s Office (ICO) requirements, there is an appointed Data Protection Officer.
A: Your information is only ever passed to other people with your consent.
A: All online consultations are delivered using a secure online platform called ‘Sessions’, hosted by the trusted provider, PsychologyToday, or via ‘Zoom’, hosted by ‘proton mail’, which is an encrypted platform. When we ‘meet’ online, a link will be sent to you by the clinician ‘meeting’ you.
A: Our services are governed by the following bodies: Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Psychological Society Chartered membership, Psychology Today accredited.
A: Yes, we can see you online if you live outside of the UK. Some assessments, however, are best administered face-to-face, so not all services will be appropriate to be delivered online.
